Flexible Spending
Using today’s technological advances in electronic banking and internet access, we have simplified the process of employees being reimbursed from their Flexible Spending Accounts in their Employer’s 125 Plan. Now, with a simple swipe of a Flex-Debit Card, participants can immediately access the money stored in their Medical or Dependent Care Accounts. It is no longer necessary for an employee to write a check, file a claim, and wait several weeks to be reimbursed. Furthermore, the Flex-Debit Card reduces paperwork for the employer’s Human Resources Department.
Since neither the Employer nor the Employees pay FICA taxes (and other related payroll taxes) on employees' contributions to their Flexible Spending Accounts (125 Plan), the Employer’s FICA tax savings alone will in most cases offset the employer’s administrative cost of offering this tax favored program to its employees. This is truly one of the real no-cost benefit programs available. A true win-win situation.
